You don't need an account to use Speurly. We process as little data as possible, and only to run your search or, if you create one, your account.
Who is responsible
Shoticcha B.V. is responsible for processing data on Speurly. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.
Your search
What you type or say is sent to our server and to Anthropic, whose AI model Claude turns your request into search words. We don't link searches to you as a person, so please don't type personal details into the search box.
Photos
When you search with a photo, we first shrink it in your browser and then send it to Anthropic to see what's in it. We don't store your photo. Anthropic doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models and keeps it only for a short time, under its commercial terms. Anthropic is based in the United States; the transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses in its data processing terms.
Voice
Speech recognition is done by your browser (for example Google in Chrome or Apple in Safari), under that company's terms. Speurly only receives the text, never the audio.
Your style
If you fill in My style, we send it with your search to Anthropic so results and picks fit you. You can clear your style on that page at any time.
Your account
If you log in, we keep your email address, your style and your saved products (with the price when you saved them), so you have them on all your devices. We only use your email address for login links and for price alerts: an email when a product you saved gets cheaper. These alerts are on once you log in; you turn them off per product on Saved, on the account page or with the unsubscribe link in every email. Login emails and alerts are sent through Brevo in France. You can delete your account at any time on the account page; we then erase this data. If you share a list, anyone with the link can see that list and the name you put on it, but never your email address.
Clicking through to shops
When you click a shop, we record which product and when, without any data about you, so we can settle commission with the shop. You go through that shop's affiliate network (such as bol, Awin, Daisycon or TradeTracker). The network and the shop may set their own cookies to attribute a purchase to Speurly; their own privacy policies apply.
Cookies on speurly.nl
We only set functional cookies: speurly-lang remembers your language for a year, and speurly-style keeps your style if you fill in My style. If you log in, speurly-session and speurly-signed-in keep you logged in for 180 days, until you log out. Saved products are kept in your browser's storage, and on your account when you're logged in. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, which is why we don't ask for cookie consent.
Technical logs
The website runs on Vercel (United States; the transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses in its data processing terms), the search service and the database on Clever Cloud in France. They keep technical logs, including IP addresses, for a short time to investigate outages and abuse.
Your rights
You can ask us which data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email us at the address below. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
