Buying second-hand, the smart way
A second-hand coat or chair often costs half of new, and nothing new has to be made for it. With a few habits you can buy with as much confidence as new.
Compare with the new price
A second-hand item is only a good buy if the difference from new is big enough. Speurly shows new and second-hand side by side, shipping included, so you see the real difference. If the new one is on sale, new can suddenly be the better choice.
Check the condition
Read the condition description carefully and look closely at the photos: seams, zips, soles, legs and hinges wear out first. If in doubt, ask for extra photos before you buy.
Shop or private seller
When you buy online from a shop, including a second-hand shop, the usual consumer rules apply: you usually have 14 days to change your mind, and the item must do what you may reasonably expect, taking into account that it's used. Those rules don't apply to private sellers; there, what you agree together matters.
Count the shipping
For large items like furniture, shipping can be a big part of the price. That's why Speurly always shows the total price including shipping.
